NSS is a voluntary association of young people in colleges to develop student's personality through community service. In our college, NSS conducted an awareness programme on 10-08-2018 by the Health Inspector to eradicate round worms and albendazole tablets were given to the students.
A programme was conducted on 05-09-2018 to create awareness among the students on AIDS and HIV virus.
The officials of Collector's office conducted a special meeting in the campus to enrol their names in election voters list on the allotted dates.
A rally was organised by the students of Women's Christian College and Municipal Corporation of Nagercoil, on the day of Gandhi Jeyanthi (02-10-2018). The rally was inaugurated by The Honourable Central Minister Shri.Pon.Radha Krishnan from the campus and ended at Vadasery bus stand with a talk by the Honourable Minister. Earlier in connection with this, drawing and essay competitions were conducted on 30-09-2018 in the college. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the Municipal Corporation, Nagercoil. "Swatch Bharat" oath has taken at the end of the meeting.
An awareness programme was conducted on 17-10-2018, regarding the safety of women by the Police Department. They also educate the students to make use of the app.SOS in case of emergency.
The students and NSS Programme Officers visited the institution's adopted village (Kamarajapuram) on 11-08-2018 and have taken a survey on their educational status, computer knowledge, toilet facilities etc. The students educate the villagers about the safe disposal of waste. The expert from Vivekananda Kendra gave training on converting the kitchen waste into vermicompost.
An awareness programme on AIDS was conducted by Tamil Nadu Aids Control Society on18-12-2018. ELISA test was done to the students after the programme.
In collaboration with TNWDO, a voting awareness programme was conducted on 02-04-2019 .The Deputy Collector Mr. Vishnu Chandran presided over the programme. The District PRO Mr. V. Pichai creates awareness about voting among the students. VVPAT and EVM demonstrations were given in that programme.
